Overview: The eFREIGHT 2030 project is a major initiative under the UK Government’s Zero Emission HGV and Infrastructure Demonstrator programme, aimed at accelerating the uptake of zero-emission heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) and their supporting infrastructure. This session will begin with an overview of the project, its aims and timelines and then allow discussion between some of the participants and the audience.

  • Understanding the operational and infrastructure challenges of integrating electric HGVs into existing freight networks
  • Exploring the role of collaboration between logistics companies, fleet operators, and government bodies in supporting large-scale electric vehicle adoption
  • Evaluating the technological, financial, and policy innovations necessary to make zero-emission HGVs a mainstream solution by 2030
