Clare King

Clare describes herself as an energy geek. She has been an energy lawyer since 2006 and heads the national Clean Energy practice at Freeths. She specialises in clean energy projects, acting for developers, funders, asset owners, joint venture partners, major energy consumers, aggregators and suppliers. Her expertise includes electricity grid connections, public and private electricity networks, electricity procurement and supply, and electricity industry regulation. Clare regularly advises on EV charging projects, including co-location with electricity generation and storage, and helping clients navigate complex electricity licensing rules. She has been recognised as one of the Top 40 Women Leaders in Energy Storage.
