Richard Hughes

Richard has been a partner at Moore Barlow since 2017, having trained and practised at Mayer Brown and then Boodle Hatfield. He sits on the firm’s partnership council and became head of the Commercial Property team in 2024.

Whilst his practice is broad, he tends to act largely for private funds, owner-managed businesses and family offices. Particular areas of emphasis are asset management, urban development (including mixed-use schemes), and hospitality. With Jo Farr in the Guildford office, he is working on further expanding Moore Barlow’s Real Estate Finance offering. He has long-term experience in assisting a valued EV charging sector client with the growth of its portfolio.

Whilst Richard is based in the London office, he works closely with colleagues throughout the firm-wide Real Estate team.
