Andy Hackett

Andy leads on policy at the Centre for Net Zero, a not-for-profit research institute within the Octopus Energy Group, to ensure it brings about real-world change for a low-carbon, people-centred energy system. He was a civil servant for about ten years, most recently in the government’s net zero strategy team where his work included setting the UK’s sixth carbon budget in law and developing the Net Zero Strategy ahead of COP26.
