Philip brings deep expertise in distribution networks, smart grids and EV and battery storage integration. As one of the Connectologists® at Roadnight Taylor, he helps clients navigate the opportunities and risks of today’s evolving grid connections landscape, combining technical, regulatory, and strategic insight to unlock development potential.

With a background as Primary System Design Team Manager at WPD, Philip has managed all EHV connections across the East Midlands, pioneered the UK’s first customer-focused curtailment tool under the Low Carbon Network Fund (2013-14) and run countless curtailment assessments and outage risk reviews. He contributes to the National Energy System Operator’s GSR029 working group and is passionate about using data to drive smarter, more informed decision-making in network planning and operations.
