Charles leads Energy UK policy on the transition of energy systems towards Net Zero, including integrating decarbonised heat and transport demand, and the wider development of a smart flexible net-zero energy system. This includes engaging with developing energy service business models, flexible technologies, energy applications for data and digitalisation, and the reform of institutional governance and system planning arrangements across the energy sector. Before joining Energy UK in 2016, Charles worked in the transport and technology policy sectors at other industry bodies and third sector organisations.
